by Avitaway, 236 days agoWell the votes were in and unsuprisingly pretty much the entire server voted for Kunark to be opened, this gives a much needed bit of breathing space for leveling now and the old world zones were overflowing.
So of course this now means the Level Cap has raised to 60, Epics have been released and some decent dungeons and dragons now need to be conquered, looking forward to giving some of the old mobs a good kicking thats for sure.
by Avitaway, 243 days agoWell I have been back playing Everquest now for almost 2 months an I am having a blast! I am currently playing a Bard on the Fippy Darkpaw server (TLP) and we are currently going through the voting process for releasing Kunark, leveling was pretty tough once I got to level 40 due to the limited place you can actually go and level and the amount of people actually in them trying to level. There are usually between 80-100 people in Ocean of Tears all trying to get to 50 and Lower Guk and Sol B are not much better with all the camps taken up pretty much 24/7 so Kunark is going to be a welcome release, it certainly has my YES vote anyway!
I am in a Euro Raiding Guild called Rosengard and we have a pretty solid raid force, it feels very strange trying to kill mobs with Fine Steel Weapons and such but I have been able to get a few upgrades from the Plane of Hate and Plane of Sky but the real fun will begin with the release of Kunark and those ever elusive Epic Weapons, will be good fun trying to chase down the spawns for these again thats for sure while trying to equip the entire guild with these awesome weapons, so fingers crossed for the 6th June!
On other items as I have reached the cap and only really play Fippy on Raid days while I wait for Kunark I have also been playing around on Antonius Bayle with Jamthor leveling up a Shadow Knight and Wizard that I am 2 boxing, currently my SK is 65 and the Wizzy is 59 and I am working on there Epic weapons, been having fun slapping down old fish face in Kedge Keep but still no Wizzy drops yet, but I have got the Plane of Hate drop for the SK Epic and I am clearing Plane of Sky hoping for the drop from there on an almost daily basis but no look there, however myself and Jamthor's tribe of multiboxers did go and swat Terror in Plane of Fear last night to get the Sword drop from there that is like golddust so it was the first raid AF has done in Everquest for god knows how many years yay!
So if anyone is looking for some fun then feel free to give us a nudge, we are going to see how much raid content we can kill either solo or with our group of boxed characters (when we can find it up) and it will be good to see if anyone else wants to tag along. Also if anyone wants to get involved in some raiding fun old school style you can find me on Fippy and I would be happy to sponsor you into the Guild I am in there.

by Avitaway, 317 days agoOur first full group of Level 50s have emerged this week with Congratulations in order for Vallon, Lsid, Vexatious and Lanaya who all reached the magic number this week, well done guys!
They have already started to venture into the T1 Expert Dungeons and drain them of loot and I expect we will have a few more 50s over the course of the next week or so.
Our recruitment is starting to tighten up so please keep your eyes open and help us fill these last spaces so we can have a nice force ready for raiding once we are ready to do so, we are currently looking for the following.
1x Full Archon
1x Bard
5x Mage DPS
5x Melee DPS
We are now only recruiting people over Level 20 and this will increase over the coming weeks as our average player level rises.

by Avitaway, 321 days agoWe reached guild level 3 the other night after doing several Guild quests, we have a bit of a trawl now to get Level 4 but we are working on it and hope to have it quite soon!
On another note we have our first level 50 player, Nazluk, he clearly has no life so feel free to taunt him and abuse him about this as much as you can!!
In the next few days we will see a few more level 50's so I will keep you posted once they happen.
Recruitment will be tightening up soon so if you anyone who wishes to join us get them to do so now before we start bringing in the level and class restrictions.
by Avitaway, 329 days agoCongratulations all on getting Guild Level 2 after a nice 10 man guild run to clear up the Iron Tombs quest, now we have our next quest up so its time to do some RIFT bashing!!
On another note the Guild is growing nicely and we have now passed 50 members, however we would still like more so that we can build a proper raid force, so if you know of any other people who would like to join us now is the time before we move towards application only entry.
The average level of the players is now between 25-30 and we have a lot of work to do to get raid ready so watch this space!
